Lamborghini Recall 1,500 Gallardo Coupe

The Italian car manufacturer Lamborghini is calling many of the Gallardo models sold in the United States. The issue is the danger is leakage of steering liquid lubricant, which can ignite.

May be affected about 1500 Coupe and Spyder sold in the United States between 2004 and 2006. These models were produced between May 2003 and April 2008.

Lamborghini sent a document to the U.S. regulatory authority, which realizes that the pipes can corrode from the steering pump. In some cases, the liquid may leak into the gear, and if it is hot, causing a fire.

The company says it discovered the problem on product control and so far have not been verified any fires or injuries in drivers.

The owners will begin to be notified this month, and dealers will update the steering system for free.
